So not surprisingly the Kitty GYM member list that turned up on the net last week wasn't quite accurate - ABC's Totsuka isn't a member but Tommy Mao/Tomita Mao (aka baton twirling kid) is in there. This does make more sense since Tottsu wouldn't have been able to do Playzone as well as the Kitty GYM promotion, and also since there's a chance they're sending ABC in the same direction as MA - no debut but plenty work in the musicals (ABC have done Endless Shock, DREAM BOYS & Takizawa Enbujou this year already, have gone to Las Vegas with Tackey for something to do with Enbujou again and now are doing Playzone) as well as backing dancing for the slightly older groups (ABC & MA together make a good backing for KinKi Kids on their last dvd). Yeah, it's not as much fame and fortune as debuting like KAT-TUN etc but chances are it's a much longer lasting career and much less stressful for the boys whilst still being a lot of fun.
The other, much less attractive option is that Kawai & Tottsu end up debuting in the next group with Kitayama, Fujigaya,
Squeaky 1 & Squeaky 2 sorry, Kota & Hikaru! and maybe Yuto, and Goseki & Tsukada end up disappearing into obscurity like Toma, Kazepon, Hasejun & Toshin have done - I'd much prefer the keeping ABC together version.
Or the fantasy version - send ABC out together with Kitayama, Fujigaya & Yokoo to form a proper group since they looked really good together during the Daite Senorita promotion and seem to work well together. Those members cover all the necessary talents too: singing, dancing, acrobatics, rollerskating, rapping (Fujigaya), talking/MC, and I suspect one of them will easily be the 'mum' of the group (cf Hina, Kei etc - I'd expect this one to be Yokoo from watching the Shounen Club Fujigaya produced). Pity it'll never happen!
Better go now - I'm supposed to be seeing Pirates of the Caribbean 2 at half one with my sister and I haven't started getting ready yet!
